Section D – Recognition of previous studies and experience

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL involves the assessment of previously unrecognised skills and knowledge that an individual has achieved through formal, informal and non-formal learning. The RPL process requires the individual to provide evidence, which is assessed to determine whether an individual has achieved the required learning outcomes of a unit within a course or for entry to a course. Fees apply.

Recognition of Current Competence (RCC)

RCC applies when a student has previously successfully completed the requirements for a unit and needs to be reassessed to ensure that the competence is being maintained (eg. by a licensing authority). Fees apply.
